Technical Specification

1.  Resistance to heat and fire

2.  Checking if parts of non-metallic material, parts of insulating material supporting live parts  including connections, and parts of thermoplastic material providing supplementary insulation or reinforced insulation, shall be sufficiently resistant to heat if their deterioration could cause the appliance to fail to comply with this standard

5.  The test is made in a heating cabinet at a temperature which is

 40 K ± 2 K greater than the maximum temperature rise of the

 part determined during the test, but should be at least:

 o  75 °C ± 2 °C, for external parts

 o  125 °C ± 2 °C, for parts supporting live parts
